Design Concept:
Our core philosophy is that "Every pet deserves its own unique playground." Utilizing high-quality 3D printing technology, we create a custom playground for each mouse. "GUO DAO SHU HAO," meaning "Mouse Highway", is inspired by the concept of highways. It features a cascading, expandable design that integrates the ideas of playgrounds, shelves, and hideaway spaces into one cohesive structure. We also prioritize safety by ensuring there are no sharp edges, coarse surfaces, and by using non-toxic materials certified by the FDA.
Challenges:
In pet product design, the biggest challenge is ensuring safety. It involves achieving as much unity as possible, minimizing risks of injury, and continuously experimenting while maintaining the desired appearance. Beyond structural design, material properties must also be considered: Is there a risk if the material is chewed on? How can the material be cleaned? Are there potential risks associated with the assembly of parts? These are critical aspects that require thorough and repeated verification.
Resolution:
We use our own 3D printers to produce a large number of samples as much as possible, and we implement them in a hamster cage for direct use. We observe any potential wear and tear on the products themselves, followed by repeated testing and modifications. At the same time, we test the samples in extreme environments, such as alcohol, disinfectant, sunlight, and warm water rinsing, to ensure that the products can not only be used effectively but also undergo proper disinfection.
